Sample Progress Report (Unit four)

Progress Report   A progress report informs the status of a work in progress. It informs how much of the work is complete, how much remains to be completed and how much money, material and workforce will be needed to complete the work on time. This report is very common for timebound projects like construction of a dam, a road or any building. It may be a software project or the like also. Since the work or project must be completed within a given time frame, a project report is mandatory. Without a project report such work cannot be completed on time. Report of Trouble   A report of trouble is a document that informs about a trouble or a hindrance in the operation of a machine or in completion of a work, routine job or a project or the like. It explains the nature of the problem or hindrance and possible solution also. It may be presented in memo or letter or manuscript format depending upon the nature of the problem.  Nature of the problem may vary depending upon the context. It may be some functional issue of mechanical, electrical, electronic type or a bug. It may be an issue raised by a customer in service industry. It may be an issue resulting from the outside environment.   Formats to Present a Trouble Report 1.
